Wikileaks: Urgent cables warn al-Qaeda is stockpiling materials for "dirty bomb" campaign
Warnings and rumors about an al-Qaeda "dirty bomb" and other nuclear, biological, and chemical attacks are nothing new, of course. What is noteworthy here is the urgency of the behind-the-scenes discussions and the confirmation these cables provide of the scope of the threat. "World 'on brink of nuclear 9/11' as Al Qaeda plans large 'dirty' bomb," from the Daily Mail, February 2 (thanks to Twostellas):
Al Qaeda is attempting to stockpile 'dirty' radioactive explosives that could be used to target British troops or for a larger urban attack, it has emerged.
New diplomatic documents released by WikiLeaks show that U.S. intelligence personnel have been informed of terrorist attempts to acquire dangerous amounts of uranium and plutonium.
The cables warn of a large trafficking operation of chemical weapons material and threats of a 'nuclear 9/11' unless the West intervenes swiftly.
Security chiefs briefed a Nato meeting in January 2009 that Al Qaeda was planning a programme of 'dirty radioactive improvised explosive devices (IEDs)'.
The IEDs could be used against coalition forces in Afghanistan but would also contaminate the surrounding land with nuclear waste for years to come. [...]
U.S. officials were warned by an Indian national security adviser that terrorist organisations now 'have the technical competence to manufacture an explosive device beyond a mere dirty bomb'.
British officials have also expressed fears of covert weapons development in Pakistan.
A leaked document regarding official defence discussions in 2009 highlighted 'deep concerns' that a rogue scientist could 'gradually smuggle enough material' out of the Pakistani nuclear programme to construct a weapon.
Documents sent to Washington from foreign U.S. embassies also reveal the growth of nuclear smuggling rings, with radioactive materials trafficked across Europe, Africa and the Middle East....
..............................................
Leaks are also coming from military troops in mid-east to families to "stockpile food and water for at least 6 months..and have escape vehicles prepared with extra fuel. I have these reports from Pastors hearing from troops in the "loop".
With all of the unrest in the middle east, the most feared scenario is that "Pakistan will fall to Islamic extremists."

Pakistan's mullahs call for atomic jihad on India

Sherry Rehman, a member of Pakistan's parliament representing the Pakistan People's Party, who presented a motion to modify the Islamic blasphemy laws, has herself been formally charged with blasphemy.
The decision was made against her by a court in Multan, which enlisted the local police to register the charge of blasphemy against Rehman. The court received the accusaiton by a local shopkeeper, who accuses her of blasphemy in her address on television in November 2010. The local police, for now, have declared her legally incompetent. In recent weeks there have been other attempts to incriminate her but other Pakistani courts have refused to give authorization.
This news creates "discouragement and deep concern within the Christian community," according to Christian sources in the country. The tiny Christian community sees its fears being realized: that it has gone beyond the idea of defining blasphemous, and therefore, anyone who opposes the law on blasphemy can be incriminated.
Meanwhile cases are multiplying in which extremist Islamic groups openly praise jihad, as well as civil disobedience and murder. Sources in Pakistan's civil society express growing concern that these attitudes have not yet elicited a helpful response from Pakistan's government while it is embroiled in a dispute with the United States over jailed American diplomat Raymond Davis. Christians are aware that Muslim prayer leaders, 'mullah', frequently use Friday prayer session to harangue worshippers with calls for death to blasphemers and non-Muslims. Some mullahs are calling for a nuclear strike by Pakistan on neighboring India, citing the long-standing dispute over Kashmir.
Recently, in Lahore - where Davis was arrested - Hafiz Saeed, leader of the radical Islamic group Jamaat-ud-Dawah, spoke to an audience of some 20,000 militants and called for atomic jihad on India. Although wanted on terrorism charges, Saeed continued to harangue the crowd undisturbed by authorities.
Human rights observers in Pakistan find the government's lack of response incomprehensible in the face of impunity for terrorists and those who preach terrorism against religious minorities, such as Hindus, Christians, and Ahmadi Muslims. A human rights advocacy organization, known as Citizens for Democracy, has appealed to the government to prosecute all persons inciting religious hatred, jihad, and murder.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Of course any nuclear conflaration could cause the sun & moon to discolor etc...we are in perilous times as to our mortal lives, but more so to our everlasting condition if we do not wake up spiritually and be the church, that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against.
