An Insane Alternative

Many folks are singing the praises of Mark Rubio, Rand Paul and other 2016 hopefuls to turn the tide of socialism of these past 4 years. Unfortunately, we conservative Christians have fallen victim to the same myopic deception that "low information voters" do at every election. We have ignored the systemic issue that we all know but the power of our enemy pulls us off track and we take our eyes off the ball every election. We know that we "wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places." We give Obama way too much power. His power comes from "The wicked one." And we are giving the wicked one...way too much power! If all this is in God's plan to use these political authorities to fulfill prophesy, then our duty is to oppose these puppets of the devil, vote against them, speak out like we are doing here and elsewhere sounding the alarm as "watchmen" should. The deception is a "Tar Baby"   Brer Fox creates the tar-baby to capture Brer Rabbit. He places it where it can be seen from the road, and when Brer Rabbit passes by and encounters the tar baby, the baby won't reply to his questions. Brer Rabbit loses his temper. He hits the tar-
baby and gets stuck, just as Brer Fox planned.


 The telling part is that Brer Fox must have known Brer Rabbit would lose his temper like that, since he planned a trap that required the rabbit to hit the tar-baby. Our Brer Fox is Satan. He knows politicians are not on our A-list to begin with. So he makes us a Tar baby to get distracted over so that we get frustrated and forget we "wrestle not against flesh and blood." Now don't get me wrong...we have to oppose the human agent the enemy uses...but not with political and human devices! Rand Paul is not our savior. Neither would be another Ronald Reagan.    Luke 19:12-13

So our occupation is to be faithful servants with what talents and gifts God gave us to further his Kingdom and not earthly kingdoms. Our duty is to preach and teach the Gospel. There are greater threats to God's Kingdom in the form of false prophets, than the threats to political ideology. 2Peter 2: 17These (false prophets) are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Another point is that many conservative Christians did not vote for Romney because he was Mormon. Now many would say because he was a moderate RINO, so they stayed home. Our occupation is to fulfill the Great Commission and follow Christ. We will have to decide in 2016 to elect the lesser of two evils. A Democrat. A Republican. Then what? Keep doing the same thing over and over and over every two and four years? A politician is a politician! That arena is of the World!  The right solution is to fast and pray this nation into revival! It is a spiritual problem why there are Democrats and Republicans that oppose each other! All we will do by electing some new politician who knows nothing about the true problem is The DEFINITION OF INSANITY!
