Committing Spiritual Suicide!

by Steven Masone

In these last days, the spirit of hatred and variance is ravaging the Saints of the Most High. Because of schisms and "straining at gnats, and swallowing camels" we have seen broken fellowship and "spiritual wickedness in high places" destroy God's vineyard Christ planted with his Crucifixion, and watered with his precious Blood. 8 But the tongue may not be controlled by man; it is an unresting evil, it is full of the poison of death. 9 With it we give praise to our Lord and Father; and with it we put a curse on men who are made in God's image. 10 Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for these things to be so. 11 Does the fountain send from the same outlet sweet and bitter water? 12 Is a fig-tree able to give us olives, my brothers, or do we get figs from a vine, or sweet water from the salt sea?

<< Psalm 133 >>
American King James Version 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended on the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for ever more.

This beautiful Psalm seems like a  fleeting dream of fanciful Utopian impossibility. Yes with God all things are possible, but it seems today that if our Brothers don't "lock step" with us in every "jot and tittle" we break fellowship. Preachers violating scripture making false accusations and preachers receiving them against scripture 1 Tim 5: 19Against an elder receive not an accusation, except at the mouth of two or three witnesses.

While it is understood that some issues to some men are not "gnat size"...to God they are.Romans 8: 37 No, in all these tings, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

While we claim this truth with our lips, our ignorance (or willful disobedience) regarding the Body,       when we separate ourselves from fellowship one with another, the communion with Christ who is the Head of his body is broken also. What you do to me, you do to Christ, and vise-verse.

The Apostle Paul teaching on the Lords Supper needs to be studied out more closely, for the spiritual application is hidden, but it is there.

1 Cor 11:17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. 18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. (Note: Divisions stem from "heresies"...not "rightly dividing the Word of Truth.")

20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. 21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. 22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. (Note: Paul is telling them that they are "missing the truth of what the Lords Supper is all about.)

23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. (Note: It is generally interpreted to mean take and eat this bread literally to remember Christ and Calvary. But it's deeper understanding is "this is my body, which  is broken for you, this do " be broken and lay down your life for a friend/brethren in remembrance of him!(Jesus) Be a broken Alabaster box, that the precious ointment of his Spirit will flow throughout the body.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. (note: This do! What does the Blood do? Remits sin, forgives! As oft as you receive forgiveness you must give it! As oft as you drink of forgiveness you must give it!

26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.( We can only be conformed to his image if we forgive ... we are forgiven.)
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. ( without forgiveness..."except ye forgive ye shall not be forgiven")

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. (Note: Not discerning the Lords body is what the Goats of Matthew 25 did not discern the least of Christs brethren is Christ himself!) 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. ( The body is not symbolic! It is a reality as much as your hand is you. When we bite and devour one another, we do it to Jesus! And when we have much and give not to our brethren, we give not to him.  And we become sick and or die spiritually by "Loss of Blood " when we are guilty of the Blood.)

33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. 34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

False witness, gossip, a lying tongue, against one another is "Heresy" And makes one a candidate to receive "A strong delusion that they may believe a lie."
