In our first verses in Exodus we read about a servant of hebrew descent that was bought for a price would serve for 6 years and in the seventh go free. vs 2
vs 3 tells us that if he came in by himself he would go out by himself.
If the master had given him a wife and she bore him children they would stay with the master if the servant chose to go free in the seventh year.
verse 5 says if the servant shall plainly say; I love my master and my wife and children, I will not go out free....vs six and his master shall bring him to the judges and to the door post and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul and he shall serve him forever!
This portion as all the word of God if we will seek and search the scriptures is a beautiful and powerful type and sign post pointing us again to Jesus.
We know he bought us with a price....we are not our own.....
If we receive our salvation and the promise of the father which is the gift of the holy ghost, the promise that we can be born again of water and spirit....and the fruit of the spirit is love,joy ,peace long suffering,gentleness,goodness,
There is a point in every child of God's... life when they will plainly say, I love my
Master and all he has blessed me with and I will not go out! I will not turn back!
If we chose to serve self, the flesh and Satan's world again.....the true love Joy and peace and the rest of all he gives us cannot go with.....
If we like the Hebrew servant consecrate ourselves and commit forever to serve the one who purchased us with his blood and very life...we will become his servants in bonds of love....
There were masters that bought servants and treated them like animals and prisoners..they gave them only the little sustenance it took to keep them in slavery doing the bidding of that evil master and his evil work hoe himself and his agenda.
But the good master while he has work to be done, out of love gives good gifts and supplies all the needs to his servants, knowing even those who show ungratefulness and are unthankful... if he keeps on loving them perhaps they to will say I love my Master!!!!!!!I will serve him forever!!!!!
But the unthankful servants love not that which was born in the ,masters house, not even his own wife and children for he after the six year, in the seventh....walks away and leaves his masters house.
but the wise and thankful servant who has learned that the master at times had chastised him and tested him...it was out of love and kindness that he could teach his houshold according to the pattern.
How beautiful the type here of the servants ear being bored through on the doorposts where his blood would be upon his masters door. Scripture tells us gen 9:4 lev 17:18 the life of the flesh is in the blood....and we know about the passover which happened in Exodus 12 where the first born of the Hebrews were saved from the angel of death by applying the blood of the sacraficial lamb to their doorposts.
These were the judgements given now by their new master at sanai...this is a covenant...if we will he will! so we see this spiritual picture of Jesus...as the master...our blood/life in repentance, and because we love our master... an AUL, which is a tool of the carpenter.....shall pierce our ear...as the Hebrew servant who freely also did so we also shall have the mark of the cross as we pick ours up daily to follow the Master we love......
If you love your master will you hear what his Spirit is saying to us today? Your ear..should willingly and lovingly accept the temporary discomfort of it being bore through and pierced by our master that we can serve him forever!!!!!!
for the word of God is quick and powerful......................
Rom 8:1.................."
so to bring the truth of this scipture to our ear.....go with me to Romans 5:1
Paul has much to teach us as inspired of the Holy Ghost if we will lend our servants ear!!! We see here we are to glory in our tribulation..... it brings patience..and ...patience brings experience and hope...and hope maketh not to be ashamed...and this is how we can get that blesed ASSURANCE Romans 8:1 proclaims for us!!! Guilt and shame tbakes away and destroys our faith...that justifies us before God!
And our faith is attacked by the enemy through our lack of understanding that we should glory in our tribulations!!! So that we gain ptience for in your patience ye shall save your soul...."present tense as in NOW!!!! not when you get to heaven....now ...peace joy righteousness in the Holy Ghost....no Condemnation!!!!
And patience experience.....experience.....
By faith we can reckon our old man dead....and the new man alive unto God.....
ROM 7:14 Paul is speaking here as to the Old man sold under sin....I am carnal speaks of the flesh man not the spiritual man.../.vs 15 he speaks as the new man strugglinbg with the flesh....
Paul continues to give us the example that even as the new man has the disire to do good yet he cannot and does not want to do evil but does, is because evil is with him and warring against the Law of God in the inward new man,
and then he cries out....O wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from this body of death?
and finally taking his eyes off his weakness in the flesh he turns to Jesus in thankfulness and separates himself from the flesh for it is under the law of sin which is death!!!! It ALONG WITH IT'S CARNAL MIND AS HE FOLLOWS THE LAW OF THE spirit IS DEAD AND BURIED WITH Christ BACK IN THE GRAVE .. FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. and THE THOUGHTS THAT ACCUSE AND BLAME TO GUILTY AND SHAME...BY FAITH WE SEE THREM ALSO UNDER THE LAW OF SIN,,,DEAD DEAD DEAD!!!!
As we are baptized into his death...our old man as 11 says should be reckoned as dead to sin....we DO THE RECKONING WITH OUR FAITH....
BUT OUR FAITH MUST BE BORN OF GLORYING IN OUR TRIBULATIONS WE HAVE GONE THROUGH AND ARE GOING THROUGH....WE LOSE OUR PEACE WHEN WE DO NOT SEE THE MASTERS HAND DRAWING BLOOD THROUGH OUR TRIBULATIONS and we become bitter...while we pratoned we are bitter at the circumstances or people .....guilt and shame is our experience and not the blessings of the masters house.....
If we will hear the master today....hear what the spirit is saying....come all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest...take my yoke...let me bore your ear with the aul of my cross and I will teach you to glory in your tribulations and I will give you patience...and you wouldexperience life and life more abundantly and hope because my Love is shed abroad in your heart......who is he that condemeth?
Now ...who shall separate you from the love of Christ? shall tribulation???
